Echelon Poetry is a literary magazine established by a creative writing student of the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada-
to enable the exportation of Mississauga poetry and as well, importation of poetry from every other part of the world.
These transnational literary trade(s) would however be non-profitable
to elevate emerging poets with overwhelming opportunities;
and as well facilitate the actualization
that no poet is ever invalid, let alone a line Bio(d) one.
Echelon Poetry serves as a flea literary magazine that connects Mississauga's emerging and established poets with readers and poets from every other part of the world.
As established in 2019 (Fall) as 'Echelon Review,' we aim to promote healthy creative competitive spirits amongst emerging poets in the hideouts and facilitate prompt creative response to economic and socio-political matters in Mississauga and how they connect to the furthest bordered world.
As settlers, we wish to acknowledge that Echelon Poetry operates on the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca and, most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River, of thousands of years back. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
